Your practice is not about your numbers. Your practice WHY needs to be much more significant than that. In this episode, Gary explains that your practice ‘why’ should be taking care of patients the way you’d like to be taken care of, both clinically and behaviorally. You should not lead with the numbers when it comes to establishing your practice goal because, unknowingly, it will drive you and your team away from giving the best possible service to the patients.
Once you establish your practice ‘why,’ everything you and your team do is built around that, and you can then look at the numbers.

The American Dental Association says that the average dental practice overhead is 74%. This was informed BEFORE the inflationary cycle right now.
So, doctor, if your overhead is 74% or higher, you are working too hard for too little. Gary has established 6 goals for every practice he coaches, and he helps his coaching clients achieve these goals; the 1st goal is to maintain an overhead no higher than 60%, ideally 50%.
